First time I've run over 30k - in for a penny, in for a pound and all that. Picked a lovely day for it though, a cold start with a thin layer of lingering snow & ice in the shade of the valley bottoms but bright sunshine elsewhere. A few of the fields between Wetwang and Fimber had been planted without a clear path through so I had to skirt around the edges and I had one encounter with cows and young calves above Thixendale where I had to leap a fence into an adjacent field to get past. Otherwise the route was easy to follow and lacking the usual mud following a dry spring so far. Replenished food and water at pre-planned hand-ups approximately hourly (Huggate, Wetwang, Thixendale, Bugthorpe & Givendale).
