Amateur runner and new to ultra running, my second ultra distance ever. My time should be easy to beat for the elite.
Had a goal to make the distance in 16h that I did not meet, but this was an experience never the less.
First 35km went smooth. After leaving Norsholm I had a calculated 5h run until next support, it turned to 6.5h hours. It was very sunny and I couldn't eat as planned which resulted is energy loss.
The rest of the distance was done on pure willpower. Without the proper nutrition your body eventually stops. I more or less only has sport drinks as energy intake for 80km to the end.
