A mix of bridle ways and tarmac through beautiful South Cheshire countryside.

Perfect running conditions but was getting hotter and tougher towards the end!
Cached two soft flasks and a banana at 40kms the previous night hence the self supported style.

The path itself is very clear of undergrowth and vegetation except for one 250 metre section which reduces the pace to a walk. The route gives you a sense of how people moved from place to place without tarmac and main roads. It seems vitally important to keep these ancient highways accessible for future generations and for historical purposes, Hopefully the section to Shrewsbury will open in due course.

It's well signposted but an OS map is still needed.
