It was a super nice unseasonably warm day for February in Iowa. This left most of the route dry or at least wet and free of ice and snow. Though the run is through the town (Ames, Iowa) that I was born and still reside it actually introduced me to a few new areas I had never made it through which is great.
I ran it solo, completely unsupported. All nutrition/hydration was in my vest for the fairly short route.
