After I did the WURL with a couple friends, I thought it would be a fun idea to do all the main watershed traverses and I started ticking them off over the years, doing the last Parleys one in late 2025.

Out of all the Wasatch ridge linkups, this one is one of the more difficult. Not because of distance or vert, but because the schwacking on the north side is heinous, although as of typing this, there has been some work done on the north side that makes it a bit easier. Gaia shows that there is a trail along the entire north side and that is just not accurate at all.

I started on the south side heading up Olympus, just to get the wildcat ridge over with first. There's quite a bit of schwacking along the south side as well. I definitely didn't stay on the ridge proper the whole time. if there was a trail just below the ridge, I'd opt to take that, since it would feel pretty stupid to be walking off trail with a perfectly good trail a hundred yards away. There are some good spots to get resupplied if you can rally your friends. I got resupplied at dog lake with a McGriddle and it was glorious. I also had some friends bring me water, although if you were gross enough you could filter water out of dog lake. Toward the end, I had a buddy meet me up on the east side of Grandeur and I was very psyched because it was dark and I was starting to bonk.

Overall this one is less about running and more about moving around in the mountains off trail not really seeing a ton of people. It's a good time. everyone should do it.
