FKT: Matthew Seidel - South Bay Skyline Route (CA) - 2024-01-20

Second time going for the South Bay Skyline, first time properly going after Jared's mark! Was nice and stormy the whole way, but fortunately the tree cover helped shield me from the worst of it most of the way. Turns out I was actually behind his pace for the first ~3 hrs and made up most of my ground in the final hour and a half. Picked up a couple bottles and gels I stashed at the Skyline Ridge Trailhead about halfway through. Can't recommend this route enough - double digit parks, sweeping views of the bay/ocean, and a very rippable 34 mile route in some of the Bay's most underrated trails!
