When I started at the Schöbuchturm the conditions were almost perfect for my FKT attempt: 8 °C and cloudy. During the day it got a lot hotter than the forecast predicted and the clouds disappeared, which made it harder in the sections without shadow. Nevertheless the first smell of spring was in the air and it was beautiful running through the orchards and seeing the cherry blossom.
I took all my food (gels and bars) and water (3 liters) with me, since there is (to my knowledge) no possibility to get drinking water from a natural source along the way. Especially close to the touristic highlights there were many tourists and familiys on the trails, because that day was Good Friday, which is a holiday in Germany.
I was very happy when I made it to the Schönbergturm and really enjoyed my post-running beer when I was back home.
