The Enchantments Traverse is one I've wanted to do for a few years and so with it being the Golden Trail Segment and a couple of guys lowering the time significantly this seemed like a great time to go for it. We started at about 6:50am to avoid as much of the day hikers as possible. It really wasn't bad other than the first two miles and we were courteous and slowed down when passing people. This is a crowded route but doable if you're smart about it. Route finding and navigation is part of the challenge as well and GPS isn't reliable up in that region.
This was an unsupported effort and I started and stopped my watch in the middle of the parking lots in order to make sure I got the Strava segment (I didn't because GPS cut out) so the total time of 3:09:01 is pretty conservative but it will have to do.
Such a classic and amazing route. And really difficult and technical.
