Perfect weather conditions for this attempt of the fastest known time for an unsupported tour around Texel.
The FKT guidelines mention that for an unsupported attempt: "You must carry everything you need from start to finish except water from natural sources. Public taps along the trail are fine". So I brought a lot of snacks, and 1L in my flasks. I had planned 3 stops for public taps: Oudeschild, De Cocksdorp and around De Koog. I use drinkwaterkaart.nl to find those public taps. You can see the spots in my gpx when I go a bit inland, but I am glad to share it with those attempting, so feel free to reach out.
Around km37, there is a large water "river" directly on the beach that you need to cross. I have tried going around it but it went far inland, in a restricted area. So I had to remove the shoes and cross it. It went above my waist (I am 178cm) with strong water flow. So there may be better time to cross this "river" depending on the tide.
Overall, this is a great run, with more than 35km on the beach.
