I chose to run the route from Longcot to Abingdon. My husband and I had planned to do this for some time, but today he couldn't run it so instead dropped me off in Longcot by the start point, and I ran back to where it finishes in Abingdon. We had recced the last 9 miles together but in the other direction so still needed to navigate most of it. As usual, made some minor navi errors, but all corrected.
Mostly an enjoyable route with nice cows (including some beautiful calves), llama ranch, pigmy goat field, and a beautiful heron. Naughty farmer had put private land signs up across two of the fields where there should be the public footpath!! Could not run it as no path left, overgrown with thistles and prickly plants, legs were shredded. There were also lots of ploughed fields which made parts of the route tough going.
Carried all the drink and food I needed with me so didn't need to stop. Ran the route solo.
