Started early as new the forecast was for it to be hot and Bourton always gets really busy on a beautiful day so good to get parked and running before the crowds come.
The GPX for this route is not great. I had run the first 9 miles earlier in the week so had got my head round half of it so didn't have to keep backtracking like I had previously. The cow field was empty today which was a bonus as earlier in the week, it took me ten minutes to get round them. I still made a few navi errors but corrected these quickly.
The route should run from monument to monument which is what I did. As I was also doing out and back, I lapped my watch at the monument before turning round and heading back.
The route is varied and goes through some really picturesque parts of the cotswolds, mostly offroad but with some faster sections on the road.
Ran solo and carried everything I needed (including 2.5 L of fluid as I am such a heavy sweater). Surprised there weren't ,more runners out as it really is a nice route.
