This took me a couple of reconnaissance runs to learn the route, which lacks sign markings for much of the way. There is approximately 20 gates to open and stiles to cross. A beautiful route through the garden of England beginning at the entrance to Cernes Farm in Edenbridge and finishing at the High Street in Tonbridge. It is scenic Kent countryside most of the way, with rolling hills, nervous sheep and meandering woodland paths. Thoroughly enjoyable, but be careful for the uneven ground particularly through the Edenbridge fields and River Medway banks.
I ran the route from west to east, which seemed to make sense because the nearest road to Cernes Farm is the best part of a mile away. I fell off a stile about a mile in, and thought I'd given myself a nasty ankle injury. I had to stop, but after a half hour delay I had walked back to Cernes Farm and felt ok to start again. The stinging nettles can not be avoided! I enjoyed every minute.
