This a 5 mile or 8km route through the wooded commons of Keston, Hayes and West Wickham. It is extremely well signposted and has an even better step by step guide with map on the Bromley local government website ensuring you can not go wrong. There are a few busy roads to negotiate, gates to tackle, bridges to cross over narrow streams, ponds, horse trails and some concentration is needed to avoid the danger of the tree roots.
There is an error on the gpx file near Gates Green Road that takes you off the main path and would make you miss two of the all important yellow Three Commons arrows before you return to Croydon Road. Following it will add extra distance to your journey through some less scenic alleyways on nearby residential streets.
