Started off in the pitch black to avoid the heat, didn’t account for truly how dark it is out on the western side of the island. Would not recommend running through the trails before sunrise, every stick or noise I thought was something coming out to get me. Muddy patches almost made me lose my footing a handful of times. But ones I got past the endless curving northern portion I had a beautiful view of the sunrise coming down the eastern side of the island and took a well deserved dip after, even though the water was bath temp.
