FKT: Michael Lo Presti - Tri-State Tri-Mountain Loop (NY, CT, MA) - 2021-03-21

It was a gorgeous spring morning for the Tri-State Tri-Mountain Route, covering Brace, Frissell, and Bear Mountains, the tri-state border marker for Connecticut / Massachusetts / New York, and the Connecticut high point along the way. About a third of the route was still covered in snow and ice, most notably the steep north side of Bear, which was basically a frozen waterfall. I was grateful for extra traction, although that might have been my slowest climb ever from that direction.
