At 9am on Thursday October 13th I attempted the Panorama ridge fkt. I had only been up here once before during a storm where I got completely lost and so wanted to do this route again on a nice day. I got lucky and the October weather was amazing! I felt strong on the way up until maybe the last section. My aim was not to go out too hard and go at a similar pace to the Black Tusk fkt splits on a similar route. I tried something new by wearing road shoes up and trail shoes down - carried in my pack. I think it helped (jury is still out) but I definitely should have switched before that last scree - ish section where I was struggling to find any grip or good footing. Took a couple minutes to enjoy the views hence the difference of elapsed vs total time, then had soo much fun rolling the descent until the last section which is super dusty with what seemed like endless switchback.

I had a relapse of chronic fatigue earlier in the year so this fkt (my first attempt at one) was the icing on the cake of my time here in Whistler and my comeback.

Thanks to the guys who have attacked this previously, it was great to get out and see if I could match the fast times! Look forward to seeing who takes it next!
