I have been wanting to try this out and back for a while, knowing that the one way traverse FKT is practically untouchable. Enchantment route is such a classic that I thought it would be cool to be a part of it! I've done the typical direction three times prior but never the other way..

Weather was perfect, mostly cloudy and only a little bit of sun. Lots of breeze. No problems with overheating.

This run was completely unsupported, I had no crew or drop bag/ car at Stuart TH, and drove out myself. Carried all my nutrition that I needed and filtered water when I ran out of what I brought.

Drove from Seattle to the Snow Lakes TH in the early morning, ominous lightning was brightening the entire sky over Leavenworth during the drive and worried me for the attempt just a bit, but it stopped.

Started the run at 5:30ish am. I had enough light to start and knew I'd finish in light as well if everything went well.

I decided to follow the previous FKT approach and start from Snow to tackle most of the elevation first. Also the CW direction is way harder, having a lot more elevation and non-runnable descents (Aasgard). I ended up running both ways about the same time of 6:30.

I made a couple goofs on navigation just given that I had not run the Clockwise direction before, especially the one tricky side of rock ladder climb thing after Vivianne.

Saw about a thousand mountain goats, almost ran into one.

I saved enough to be able to run the entire last 8 miles from upper Snow Lake to the car, which made up some time from all the slow miles before (Asgard up and down, the section between Vivianne and Upper Snow).

I thought I could maybe break 12 hours, but when I got to Stuart TH at 6.5 hours I knew that wasn't happening and the new target became 13 hrs, which I sneaked just under.
