I started at Timberline lodge at 7:15 am on September 24th, 2014. I ran counter clockwise on the trail and was alone for the entire time and received no support while on the trail. I wore a running vest to carry all my fuel for the day and two 0.5L soft flasks with filters that I refilled at stream crossings. The river crossing were very manageable, and I was able to cross fairly easily and only get waist-deep in the water. It was a beautiful day with clear skies and moderate temperatures with a high around 75F. This trail is simply magnificent! I think a female sub-7hr FKT is doable, and I hope to see more women attempt this route!
