Saw this loop had recently been added after Mike Austin set the men's FKT a few days ago. Distance was perfect for my long run this weekend. Decided to do the loop by going over Windham High Peak first and finishing with the road section -- knowing the terrain for the whole course, I felt this direction better suited my strengths. Another solo day in the Catskills. Definitely a warm day, Blackhead to finish, but clear skies and trails in very good dry condition -- no water along the route at all; every spot I've ever seen on these trails was totally dry. Individual playing the bagpipes on a lookout going up Black Dome was certainly uplifting.
