We saw some peaks in the distance while running the Loowit Trail last month and thought, “why not link them all together during an epic run!?” Perfect day for a loop in the backcountry of St Helens including summits of Mt Coldwater, Mt Margaret, Mt Teragram, and Mt Whittier including an airy traverse along its ridge. The trail is a bit overgrown for the first few miles, but pretty spectacular after that. We didn't cross any running water till around mile 15, but with the cool temps that ended up being just about the perfect time for us. Definitely looks like earlier in the season finding water wouldn't be much of an issue since we did cross quite a few dry creek beds. All of the summits are easy scrambles and the ridgeline is airy but never at all sketchy. This is a beautiful area and definitely on par with the Loowit trail in terms of overall trail quality and scenery.
