I ran this while on holiday on the Isle of Wight before I knew FKT was a thing. And I forgot I'd recorded the run.
On a clear, blue-sky day it's a beautiful trail as it takes the runner up on top of the island and, with a view to the west and the famous Needles, one can see the waters of the Solent down to the right and the English Channel down to the left. The views are so good that I stopped quite a lot to admire them and I didn't know I was up against the clock.
If you need refreshments there are shops, cafes and pubs at Freshwwater Bay and everything you might need, including a bus, at the Needles Landmark Attraction at the end of the trail.
