The North Vancouver classic has been seeing quite a bit of FKT action this year with at least 4 other males vying for Gary Robbins 2014 FKT. Each within minutes of Robbins stellar time. Looks like Devon Goldstein set the bar this year for the females. Congrats Devon!
I set off on my effort narrowly avoiding our all too common Pacific Northwest rain. Moving well I had a bit of a gap with about 45 minutes to go only to see my lead dwindle on some technical mountain bike trails. Robbins is a tough dude to crack on anything downhill technical and this loop has that in scores.
Got to the bottom of the Baden Powell stairs and sprinted to the signboard finish overjoyed that I just squeaked in under Gary's time by about a minute.
