I ran from original David Statue to the replica David Statue and to the final replica David Statue in Piazzale Michelangelo and then back to the original David Statue..it was magic.
This Route runs from the original "David" sculpture to the two (2) replica David sculptures.
It is a tricky route, from Accademia down "Via Ricasoli" to "Piazza del Duomo" to "Via dei Calzaiuoli" to "Piazza della Signoria" to "Piazza degli Uffizi" through the Courtyard and onto "Lungarno Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici" to "Piazza dei Giudici" to "Lungarno Generale Diaz" across the bridge at "Ponte alle Grazie" onto "Lungarno Serristori" to "Piazza Nicola Demidoff" to "Via dei Renai" to "Via San Miniato" to "Via del Monte alee Croci" finish at the Piazzale Michelangelo" and then run back.
I would suggest doing this as early as possible as as soon as the sun comes up you will be dodging people, cars, dogs, tourists-who have not idea where they are going..
I loved it and think you will too.
The climb is short up to Piazzale Michelangelo but steep, your legs will get a nice burn...enjoy.
