I ran across Panamá from the Pacific Ocean in Panama City to the Caribbean-Atlantic in Colón. I was support by my buddies Phil Hargis & Tom Mayrhofer.  They helped me with food, water, and support.  We began the day right at 7:00am with my feet in the Pacific Ocean and ended the day dunking head and hands dunking in the Caribbean-Atlantic. I ran completely alone except for the last few meter when a run young boy tried to beat me to the Christ the Redeemer Statue in Colón. I really enjoyed the opportunity to experience the culture of Panamá and take in the sights and sounds. I dodged, roadkill (2 frogs, 1 dog, 2 snakes), piles of trash(right next to the signs that said don’t throw your trash here 😉), taxis hiking & zipping in and out of traffic, accessorized mega busses, kids and was chased by a few dogs(No perrro, super loud)  but all in all it was an amazing experience. The heat was intense and really slowed me during the course of the day along with the smallish but relentless hills. I felt like I was running up hill most of the day. I do think there is time to be shaved off on a cooler day and maybe going the opposite direction from Colón to Panama City. This was a dream come true and hope to see others go after the FKT.
