Woke up in the late Sunday sunshine, I felt up to the “Capital Challenge”.  I was initially planning to run it with Kerry in December but Covid has been twisting it for a while, so I was surprised to see the idea shined, suddenly. Quick petit dej and off.

Capital Challenge is slightly longer than a marathon distance, running up and down to scenic parks, such as Hyde Park, Regent’s Park, Primrose hill, Hampstead Heath, Big wood, CherryTree wood, Highgate wood, Queen’s wood then my favorite Parkland walk (The Parkland Walk is a linear park, formerly a railway line runnning from Finsbury Park to Muswell Hill and is now a nature reserve), then navigating along New River, then finally River Lee and River Lea to the finish.

There were so so many people out - in all parks and along the rivers and canals despite the lockdown. Zigzagging to maintain a safe distance from the others and especially the dogs, somehow liking so much my little-traction-3 years-old-running-shoes and jumping straight ahead towards my legs, happy to finish without falling in the muddy pad.

This year, my runs are dedicated to raise money for a charity called FreeToRun. I have just started my page today:

Thanks!!
