Ran up and down Mt Meru with local guide, Rocky and Manase. They were great and provided many sweet potatoes while I provided science food. Thanks to Olly Cohen for the contact! Stopped along the way to play checkers and fuel up. Stopped at the two huts to fuel up along the way. Did not acclimatize for this and struggled with headache and dehydration. Ended up having to pee the whole way down 😅 (I think from altitude and dehydration). Would recommend doing some runs at altitude and taking in lots of sodium the day before and the morning of! Shout out to our park ranger, Bryson for escorting us safely past the Water Buffalo towards the base of the mountain!
