I set off from Gosford waterfront at 9:53am.The day was beautiful and a pleasant 22C. I left with a full soft fast and hand held bottle and food to last the time on the run.
The first section to Woy Woy was nice, not a soul in sight and just my podcast of Sally McRae for company. The day was heating up and by the time I got to Woy Woy public toilets, I was ready to fill up my bottles and have a quick wee break. This section was flat and fast, in no time I was crossing over the rip bridge and heading into the Bouddi NP.
Once I arrived at Maitland Bay carpark I filled my bottles and started on the stroms trail. I only saw one bike rider and a big lace monitor which scared the crap out of me.
I then headed on the trail towards Kincumber and was eating well and feeling pretty good. It was heating up, so time to embrace the shirtless running for a while.
Once I got up to the top of Kincumba Mt my tummy was starting to be a bit upset, but a trip to the public toilet sorted it out and with full waterbottles, I was ready to do the last 13km.
Over the mountain and out the other side at Erina heights. One last big climb up Clyde Rd before a leisurely run through Rumbalara state forest to finish back where I started at Gosford and finish the loop. All in time to pick my little girl up from preschool.
A great solo day out on a great run around Brisbane Waters.
