Suneet and I ran this FKT as part of the entire Ohlone 50k trail. It’s a beautiful and remote route (especially for the busy Bay Area), which is probably best run in spring since this area has little shade and is very hot throughout the summer. There were plenty of newts, wildflowers and water on the way, and the views were amazing. The route is fairly remote and we didn’t see anyone on the way until descending into Sunol.
