I ran the Camino de Santiago (Frances) from Saint Jean Pied de Port to Santiago over 13 days, 8 hours and 32 minutes. I set out to run a marathon a day but found that I could run further and sustain it, I averaged 55.8kms/day.
I carried everything I needed for 2 weeks in a 15L Salomon running vest. I carried 1L water and refilled when needed from free water fountains and taps, I bought all my own food along the way. I stayed in albergue’s or hostels along the way which were all open to the public.
I did not run with anyone. I followed the yellow arrows along the route for directions and used the app Camino Ninja when I was unsure.
