36 miles. A full loop of the Wychwood Way starting at Blenheim in Woodstock. Conditions were good to begin with as we had a frost overnight so ground was hard. Once the sun had been out a while and the ground thawed some sections became really boggy. Downhill section past the “stonesfield dinosaur” was very slippery with no traction and probably the toughest section. Or at least on par with a 2-3 mile stretch near chadlington which was just one big bog. I closed well and managed to take almost 9 minutes off the current FKT as conditions were good under foot.
