St Swithun's Way from Farnham to Winchester. Got the train up to Farnham and the route starts from right outside the station. Very glad I uploaded a GPX file to my watch as route signage was severely lacking in lots of places and unlike major trails like the South Downs Way the St Swithun's Way doesn't always allow the obvious trail with lots of crossing footpaths along the route.
Conditions were good with mainly dry trail or road sections. My trail shoes were fine but road shoes would have been acceptable too. Nothing more aggressive needed footwear wise unless it was wet winter conditions. It was humid so glad I loaded up with a bladder and 2 flasks. Happy to have enough in the tank for a push at the finish to duck under 5 hours as I arrived at Winchester Cathedral.
Thanks to Jamie Maker for setting a target to aim for and good luck to those giving it a go in the future. There is definitely a very fast time someone could post on this route.
