I started at New Glarus shortly before 7am on September 22, 2022. I performed this route self-supported with the use of the gas station just off the trail in Albany on the way back up to New Glarus (mile 28-29ish). Conditions were excellent, sunny and 60's during the day. It was almost a little chilly starting off but felt comfortable after a few miles. Felt a little low just outside of Brodhead due to lack of nutrition. Luckily it leveled off and didn't prevent me from moving. Shoved down some gas station food when I got back to Albany and felt good for the rest of the route.
Started off with two Nature Valley bars and one Nutrigrain bar and used a Ultimate Direction (UD) 500ml hard flask for hydration. I carried everything with the UD Utility belt and/or with my paws.
Gear: Hoka Bondi 7, Darn Tough athletic crew socks, Path projects shorts & liner, adidas ss tee, Asics henley ls tee, Grandpa's beach hat, UD belt & flask.
