Nicola Gildersleeve and Peter Watson completed the complete Stein Valley Traverse from 1km up Lizzie Lake logging road at Washout Bypass Trail Start to Stein Valley Trailhead in Lytton on August 31, 2016.
We Started at the Bypass trail on Lizzie Lake logging road at 1230am and got to the Lytton Stein Valley trailhead our finish line at 1207am on Sept 1. This finally completing the goal of run/hiking the Stein in a day (23h37m).
To our researched knowledge no one has covered this ~90km in under 24 continuous hours.
I will blog about it in the coming weeks but the trail is in the best shape currently of the last 12years.
