Departure shortly before midnight from Les Contamines for a mountaineering climb. Climb to the Tré-la-Tête refuge, then head for La Bérangère without passing through Les Conscrits. About four hours to La Bérangère, then on to the Dômes de Miage, with excellent refreezing conditions. Crossing the aiguille and arête de Bionnassay, then the summit of Mont Blanc, with a little more traffic from the piton des Italiens. Descent via the Trois Monts, still in excellent conditions, to the Aiguille du Midi, for a final ascent in the heat after around sixteen hours of effort.
