Have heard a lot about this route around Durango, but it’s seemed very unclear what the true line was, if anyone has actually done the full thing in a single push, which peaks got left in or out, ETC. We agree that this route uploaded is the most accurate and complete way to do it, really not leaving anything out. One thing- Kennebec peak was listed in the mountains required, although the GPS track uploaded does not show the route going over this peak. Kennebec was not prominent or along the route really, so we feel it should probably be left out. We did add Indian trail ridge, which felt more natural than kennebec and gave an incredible view of the route. Carried all our own food and water, no stashes, and attempted to stay ridge proper the entire route. This is really a spectacular line, and It’s hard to imagine someone hasn’t already done it faster considering how many incredible athletes are around SW Colorado.
