I startet the track in Comacchio as it was easier there to park the car. There is a free parking directly at the track south of Ponte levatoio S. Pietro. I followed the route in clockwise direction and started early to avoid the hot hours. After the start I passed the historic center of Comacchio which was nice even at 5 in the morning. I followed some smaller roads and had to take one minor detour, as one park was closed during night time. Leaving the city I followed the bike lane at a large street which was an easy start as it was well illuminated. Passing the big bride at Porto Garibaldi was (as expected) not a pleasure as the traffic was even in the early morning quite busy and the zone next to the road is quite narrow. After a quiet piece of the route (with some dogs, all behind fences), it returns for 3 kilometer to the main road before it turns to the most beautiful part the Argine degli Angeli. I had the luck that the rising sun colored the sky in pastels. I enjoyed this moment knowing that the sun would not only create joy today. It hit me two hours later at kilometer 37. While running for some time without shadow and due to the rising temperature I had to drink my Cola earlier than planned to keep a running pace but I soon realized that this would not be enough to bring me back to Comacchio. I dropped my plan to do this route unsupported but unluckily I was on a part of the track where backup was scarce. So I decided to walk most of the part between kilometer 42 and 50 until I was able to buy Cola and water to refill my flasks and after refreshing myself to finalize the round running.
