I followed the GPX file from Niels’ FKT on the route, which worked perfectly. I had marked the water stops along the route (churches and a couple of campsites), which were placed around 10-20 km apart. I carried 1L of water at a time, which was enough as the weather was relatively cool (20 deg C). I ate a breakfast cake (I had brought with me) after 17 km, but I was not able to eat anything else during the run, even though I brought plenty of energy.
I wore Adidas Terrex Agravic Speed Ultra, which proved to be very suitable for the route. The route had long stretches of asphalt and buffed out trail (probably 70% of the route). There were few sections of more technical terrain as well, mainly around “Jyske Ås”.
I highly recommend trying this very nice route.
