A rather wet and cool morning - good conditions for a long run. Legs and lungs felt generally good throughout but quads took a hammering on the downhills and started to grumble towards the end.
Although I know the route well from Abberley (from running the Malvern Hills Ultra), I got mixed up a few times in the first 15km as the route was overgrown or the heavy rain had pushed foliage onto the path, but nothing too serious.
I had the trail entirely to myself for the first 45km - didn't see a soul until the Malverns.
Supported by my Dad who met me roughly every 10km to replace a bottle (Abberley, Admiral Rodney, Talbot Knightwick, Suckley). Then straight to the pub for a Father's day meal and a pint!
