FKT: Parker Kempf - Ruth Mountain (WA) - 2021-06-04

Started at 7am on June 4th 2021 with low clouds and temps in the mid 50's, snowline was around 4400' where I grabbed an extra liter of runoff. Trail runners, micro spikes, an ice axe and a trekking pole were perfect kit. 2:17 car to summit. Summit ridge ascent was heinous post-holing. Summited in a total whiteout, as I spun to descend the clouds broke and I was treated to epic views of Nooksack Tower, Shuksan, and the Pickets. Glissaded the Ruth glacier down to Ruth creek before connecting back to the summer trail. Did not see a single other person. Fall Out Boy was my motivational music of choice.
