10 months ago I decided to set myself the challenge of running to the highest peak in every county in Ireland and with that came the task of trying to break the record.
A massive thank you to each and every person who helped me before and during this challenge I set myself. I am delighted to say I finished in 53 hours 13 mins.
To all who turned up at various locations all around the country to support and cheer me on, thank you. It was appreciated more than you could know to see a familiar face.
The support crew I had with me were an endless source of support when the body and mind were starting to falter at times. From spreadsheets, to food, navigating and driving every county in the country, drying the many pairs of soaking runners and keeping me sane especially on the first night when the food wasn't working and the energy levels were low. I'm only jealous I missed all the banter while I was up on the mountains 🤣
Bernard Fortune, Mikey Quigley O Connell and Seamus Dempsey, thank you for joining me at various stages on my runs, especially on night two with storm Antoni where everything was tested especially on Truskmore.
It was absoutley unreal to finish on the top of Errigal in Donegal on the third night before midnight with a super group of people.
