On Friday, October 17 I ran the Rachel Carson Trail from the eastern terminus in Harrison Hills Park to the western terminus in Wexford. I did it unsupported, carrying all water and nutrition.
I knew one of the biggest challenges would be carrying enough water, so needed to time it for the right temperatures. The weather was just about perfect, starting at 30 F and getting up to the 60s and having been dry leading up to it.
I ran east to west due to logistics (finishing closer to home), which worked well getting the harder eastern sections done early.
