This is a submission for one way only...which we are submitting our return leg during our out-and-back...1:27:13.
We were looking at some FKTs to do whilst visiting family and saw this one as a potential one-way and out-and-back. We started at the North End (Yatton Station) and headed south on the track. Conditions underfoot were good all the way, as it is also a National Cycle Path, and there were many cyclists (young and old) out enjoying the route on this day. We expected it to be very flat, and it was, on the whole, but there were also some long climbs/descents, albeit with gentle gradients. The turn-around point was slightly ambiguous, so we went for the point that was furthest (Station Road in Cheddar). We reached the turn-around point at 1:34:00 and then had a bit of drink's bottle sorting (hence the slow mile), then headed back. We pushed pace a bit more on the way back (as Mel had the target of beating the female one-way time), meaning that it was a bit faster - 1:27:13. Total time was 3:01:13.
(We carried all of our kit/water/fuel for the whole run and it was just the two of us throughout.)
