The plan is to write a full 'blog' report a.s.a.p. following which I'll add the link; in the meantime I wanted to provide a quick summary:
I left the official start of the West Highland Way in Milngavie at 13:00 hours on Sunday 23/06/24.
I completed the 95 miles to Fort William and the end of the West Highland Way in 22 hours 51 minutes, 3 seconds, having received support en-route at Balmaha, Beinglas, Bridge of Orchy, Glencoe, and Kinlochleven.
Having taken food on board at Fort William I started the Great Glen Way, receiving support en-route at Clunes, Laggan Locks, Fort Augustus, Invermoriston, Grotaig, Drumnadrochit, & Loch Laide; I finished at Inverness Castle (official end of the Great Glen Way) at 10:26 hours on Tuesday 25/06/24.
Total elapsed time for the route was 45 hours, 26 minutes, 45 seconds with a total distance of 285.59km (177.4 miles) and an elevation of 6,300m (20,669 ft).
Support received en-route comprised a resupply of food and liquids. I also had a support runner for the final 31.5km (19.5 miles) from Drumnadrochit.
