I decided to start on 20th of May at 9:30am.

It was supposed to be an unsupported attempt. But i had to change that during the run.

the weather forecast for the week was supposed to be good but chances of rain towards the end of the week.

I made my way to lakes, Monday was very warm, the full pack with all my food was getting heavy on the big climbs through the lakes. I pushed on to haweswater reservoir. It had got dark and decided to bed down for a bit.

When my alarm went off it was still dark and I had planned on pushing on to kirkby Stephen. I filled my water bottles from the stream at haweswater and started to move again. I made good time into Kirkby Stephen, was feeling tired again as hadn’t had much sleep. I rested up in Kirkby Stephen, I decided to head to Reeth and find somewhere to bed down again. The run to reeth was hard and lots of ups and downs along the way, I was feeling ok at reeth and it was still daylight so decided to keep moving until my eyes started shut. this happened around marske and I found the first place to crash that I could.

I woke and decided to keep moving on until I hit clay bank, then asses how much time I had left and how I felt. The first part of the day was going great. It had start to rain but no more than a drizzle. as I got closer to Ingleby the rain got worse. By the time I got down from ingleby incline I was soaked through, my water proof had failed and I need to find some shelter. I assessed my situation and decided to move on after some rest, I put in a new set of dry clothes but they were my last.

i pushed on up over the 3 sisters and up clay bank, the rain was getting worse and worse and once again I was drenched, I was. Ow on urea moor. It was freezing and I was soaked. I honestly thought I had to get some help. But I decided to push on to the lion inn at Blakey ridge.   I got to the pub and had to strip of all my wet clothes and see if I had time to get some them dry ish and push on. The weather was supposed to improve and only had around 30 miles to go. This where it went from unsupported to self supported as I had to take extended shelter.
I got some of my clothes dry and decided to push on for the last 30 miles.

these where a bit of a blur until I came down the hill into Robin hoods bay.
