I completed the Talimena Scenic Byway FKT on July 19th starting at 4am.
I was accompanied by Amanda Guthrie (Crew Chief), Rodolphe Foucher (Photographer), Ethan Nahte (Reporter) and a group of pacers comprised of Jon Bloodworth, Angel O'Brien-Harrison, Chief Gary Batton and JD Roberts.
The run went surprisingly well until the heat index of 110 slowly caught up to me towards the back half of the run. My goal time of 11 hours slipped to 13 hours as I started walking more and more.
Will attempt this route again with the time goal of sub 11 hours.
