To note I was 12-13min behind Peters FKT ascent time, I just had fantastic ski conditions and made up for my slow uphill time 🤣. Peter took 57min to ski down and I took 26min!!!
Had hoped to be as fast at Peter on the up, guess the fitness wasn’t quite there, plus there was some faffing and skin issues in the first 800m of ascent. Couple hundred meters good skinning, then crappy breakable crust, followed by supportive icy skinning. Skins were starting to blow, stoped a few times to re stick the tails. Then at around 1800m glopping started, eventually I switched to my spare set of skins. Then 5ish cm dust on crust breaking trail rest of the way up, thankfully just 5cm but definitely not as fast as a preset skintrack
