Day 1: Started in gorgeous Modalen and immediately left Civilization behind. Said goodbye to the fjord halfway up the first climb and started learning the trickery of slippery mossy Norwegian rock. Very few folks out here but everyone one of them seems great.

Day 2: Frosty start Sunday but an absolutely stunning day of sun warmed us up in a jiffy. This middle day was even more remote than the rest of the tour, but there were some epically scenic views to keep us company. I definitely want to come back and ski some of these descents as well.

Day 3: The weather reverted to the mean today but it was shorter and less climbing. We started before dawn and climbed up to a rocky ridge that was actually easily runnable. Maybe the coolest geology of the whole trip was a really spicy looking bowl just before dropping down into the ski resort at Voss. Saw a prancing reindeer too!

Along the way we ate absurd amounts of tinned fish, tinned fruit, and crackers from the huts. We were greeted by an amazingly friendly group of women staying at the hut the first day, but after that we had the second night hut all to our own.
