This was a really enjoyable route but far more challenging than I had anticipated. Much less runnable than I thought it would be through the fields so I did quite a lot of fast hiking. A few cows to avoid and a shock from an electric fence added to the day's adventure! The route is mainly across farmland with some beautiful countryside views. I enjoyed seeing the sheep with their lambs and a roaming peacock too! A kind lady at a farm along the way helped me to pass through her yard full of cows. I enjoyed a fuss with her dogs and I'm really glad she was there as I think I would have been to scared to pass through otherwise! A couple of navigation errors added an extra couple of miles to the fun of the day.
I started my run in Yarnfield as the route suggests and I packed everything I needed with me so I didn't need to stock up enroute. For anyone who wants to do this challenge, there were several opportunities to pop into village shops if needed and I had brought some money with me just in case. However, my supplies lasted me the day and I was able to complete the run as an unsupported attempt.
