This is my second attempt at this FKT as the first time, part of the route was closed and I had to deviate too far for me to feel that it was fair to submit the FKT. So... I waited a while and tried again :-) I did this as an unsupported attempt. I packed my bag with a few gels, a handful of fig rolls and plenty of water and off I went. This is a very runnable route so any ladies who are fitter and faster than me, you will get a great time! I really enjoyed this run: some beautiful countryside whilst still feeling close to humanity. I did have a precarious encounter with a group of bullocks, but I managed to get past them. Also, there is a 'foresty' section just after half way where the GPX route is ropey so I got a little bit lost! But I did a bit of wading through the trees to find my way and I got back on track :-) This is a really great run with some interesting sights along the way and if I lived a little closer, it's a route I'd run again and again.
