FKT: Rami Haddad - Big 5 Lenzerheide - 2024-07-08

I do not remember the last time I was this apprehensive on the trail. For the entire loop.

First day was wet cold rain. Temperature dropped to 5°C at the summits. When done with the first three, I sought shelter for warm shower & dinner at hostel in town. When everything dried I continued next day starting early. Weather forecast was dry & warmer temperature. Fourth climb to Parpaner Rothorn was steep with several snow crossings. I had no traction on my worn shoes. The final climb to Lenzer Horn was the worst. Steep vertical scramble on loose rock for 2km with little room for error of falling to either side of the knife edge trail.

Views were probably beautiful. And I could see them occasionally. At elevation though peaks were in the clouds.
